Premium Hard Plus carbon steel -

In addition to carbon, manganese, silicon and chromium, the
special carbon structural steel also contains vanadium, which

signi"cantly improves the tool's clamping capabilities due to

its e!ect on the higher hardness of the carbides. Pliers made
of this steel prove their superior e$ciency even when used

on the hardest wires. The high carbon content, in addition
to the higher tensile strength of the material, enables longer
durability. As a result of the improvement, distinctly higher
wafer hardnesses are achieved after induction hardening.

Special carbon structural steel, compliant
with EuroDirective 2000/53/EC and EN
10058 standard:

› 0.80% carbon for greater tensile strength and durability
› 0.70% manganese for higher tensile strength and toughness
› 0.30% silicon for greater elasticity
› 0.25% chromium for higher tensile strength and less
susceptibility to cracks

Orange as a warning sign

The double plastic protection of VDE tools ensures double
safety at work, because it enables the detection of worn out
tools in due time. When tools are worn out, orange colour
(protective layer 2) warns a user of the need for immediate
